Edinburgh has one of the most beautiful cityscapes in the world, with Scotland's most famous castle dominating the skyline. There is plenty to see and do, with streets steeped in history and a thriving cultural scene, Edinburgh offers a perfect balance between all things traditional and contemporary. The U.N.E.S.C.O. World Hertiage Site at the heart of the City combines the medieval Old Town, the Georgian New Town and award winning modern architecture. You'll see views that make for perfect picture postcards, mysterious winding streets, elegant terraces and an abundance of shops and restaurants. CONCERTS, EXCURSIONS AND ACCOMMODATION
Edinburgh's number one attraction, its Castle, sits on an extinct volcano. Explore the hundreds of years of history, witness the one o'clock gun and see the panorama of Edinburgh from Princess Street to the sea. At the other end of the Royal Mile is Holyrood Palace, the Queen's residence and scene of the historical political battle between Mary Queen of Scots and Elizabeth I of England.Princess Street affords a fantastic view of the Castle and has a vast number of varied shops. You can take all this in on a sight-seeing tour on an open-top bus. Accommodation would be in either 3* or 4* hotels with twin-bedded rooms for adults, multi-bedded rooms for students. All rooms will have a toilet and bath or shower.
