WARSAW sitting astride The Wisla River has been the capital of Poland since 1596. Poland regained its independence after the Treaty of the First World War only to lose two thrids of its population in the Second World War. Ten years of ceaseless re-building after the War saw it restored to its former glory.

KRAKOW has been listed by  U.N.E.S.C.O. as one of their World Heritage Sites. It survived Word War II largely intact. The City is famous for its many churches, the most well-known being the Kosciol Mariacki or St. Mary's, where every morning you can here a trumpet call.

Considered on of the most distinguished churches in Warsaw, this structure was originally built in the thirteenth century and was the site of royal coronations and other national celebrations. In Krakow there is the possibility of St Catherine's Church or the Church of St Judwiga

Old Town (Stare Miasto), Warsaw

After being leveled when the Nazis left, this whole neighborhood of cobblestone Gothic streets and alleyways, baroque palaces, numerous churches and tiered burghers' houses were masterfully reconstructed to reflect the atmosphere of bygone days.

Historical Museum of Warsaw (Muzeum Historyczne Warszawy), Warsaw

Occupying almost an entire side of Old Town, this history museum covers every aspect of Warsaw's life and culture from its beginnings as an important trade center in the mid-fourteenth century to present day.

Wawel Royal Castle, Krakow

Home to three dynasties of Poland's monarchs. Its stately halls and exquisite chambers are filled with priceless art.

Wawel Cathedral, Krakow

Poland's impressive national shrine. The giant bell Zygmunt of 1520 ranks with the world's largest. Most Polish kings and their family members are buried in the cathedral, together with the greatest national heroes.

Cloth Hall:- The world's oldest shopping mall has been in business for 700 years. The present Renaissance edifice dates from 1555.

The Wieliczka Salt Mine:- Millions of visitors have enthused over that subterranean world of labyrinthine passages, giant caverns, underground lakes and chapels with sculptures in the crystalline salt and rich ornamentation carved in the salt rock. The last 900 years, when the Wieliczka Salt Mine has been worked, produced 200 kilometers of passages as well as 2,040 caverns of varied size.
