Sample Itinerary

In the following itinerary we have combined 3 night stays in four different destinations, that are located within a day’s coach drive of each other.

You can alter the length of the tour; include other destinations and or change the order of the resorts to suit.

Remember that this is only a “sample” itinerary

DAY ONE - Rome

• Arrive at Rome airport, meet your tour manager and onward transfer to your hotel by coach
• Arrival at your hotel in Anzio on the coast to the south west of Rome and take an afternoon swim in the pool overlooking the hotel’s own private beach
• Evening meal at your hotel

DAY TWO - Rome

• Breakfast at your hotel
• Visit St Peter’s Basilica and take a tour of the Vatican.
• Afternoon participation in Mass at Santa Maria Maggiore or
• Evening concert at Castel Gondolfo for a band or orchestra
• Evening meal at your hotel

DAY THREE - Rome

• Breakfast at your hotel
• More excursions this time to ancient Rome. Have a guided tour of the Colosseum and walk through Roman Forum opposite. You can stand in the Senate, where the Roman senators debated and sent armies to the four corners of Europe
• Evening meal at your hotel

DAY FOUR - Tuscany           

• Breakfast at your hotel
• Depart by coach for Chianciano Terme in the heart of Tuscany
• Have a late afternoon swim in the hotel’s roof-top pool with magnificent views of the surrounding Tuscan countryside
• Evening meal at your hotel

DAY FIVE - Tuscany

• Arrival at your hotel
• Travel west by coach and spend a morning and afternoon in the beautiful City of Siena. Simply take in the breathtaking square, Piazza del Campo, which is still the scene of the very dangerous, medieval Palio horse race each summer. You can also visit the magnificent black and white marbelled Basilica. OR
• Travel east  and visit the beautiful town of Perugia and  then onto the Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi
• Early evening concert at Parco Acqua Santa, Chianciano Terme or
• Late evening concert at Piazza Garibaldi, Passignano
• Evening meal at your hotel
   

DAY SIX - Tuscany

• Breakfast at your hotel
• Visit Florence by coach. Initially go to the Piazzale Michelangelo, where you get a splendid view of the City.
• On a walking tour of the City centre you can visit the famous Cathedral, The Duomo, then walk down the Palazzo Vecchio and the Piazza della Signoria, where you will find many statues including Michelangelo’s David. Walk on further to the Ponte Vechio bridge, with its old shops, that straddles the River Arno. If you have any time visit the Ufizzi Gallery
• Participation in Mass at Florence Duomo, followed by a short recital or
• Evening concert in Santa Maria dei Ricci
• Evening meal at your hotel

DAY SEVEN - Venice

• Breakfast at your hotel
• Depart by coach for Lido di Jesolo, the beach resort near Venice
• Evening meal at your hotel

DAY EIGHT- Venice

• Breakfast at your hotel
• ½ hour coach transfer to Punta Sabbione, where we hire a private boat for you to travel direct to St. Marks Square. Guided walking tour of Venice including St. Marks Cathedral and the Doge’s Palace. Use the water busses to take a trip down the Grand Canal. Here you will find The Academia and the Rialto Bridge.
• Early evening participation in Mass at St. Marks Cathedral or
• Late evening concert at one of the famous churches in Venice such as Madonna dell'Orto or Church of Redentore
• Evening meal at your hotel or early evening meal at a restaurant in Venice

DAY NINE - Venice

• Breakfast at your hotel
• Visit Venice once again or maybe go to Padua and view Giotto’s paintings in the magnificent Basilica di St. Antonio. The centre of Padua, with its two huge market squares either side of the medieval Piazza della Frutta, originally Padua’s court house, is also well worth a visit.
• Evening meal at your hotel
• Evening performance for bands at one of the many squares in the popular tourist town of Lido di Jesolo

DAY TEN - Lake Garda

• Breakfast at your hotel
• Depart by coach for the 3 hour journey to Riva del Garda. Your hotel will have an outdoor swimming pool
• Evening meal at your hotel

DAY ELEVEN - Lake Garda

• Breakfast at your hotel
• In the morning take a small walking tour of Riva del Garda, with its lovely harbour and medieval Castle. In the afternoon visit Torbole and swim in the Lake from the beach.
• Evening meal at your hotel
• Evening concert in Santa Maria Assunta in Riva del Garda or for bands in the park in Torbole adjacent to the Lake.

DAY TWELVE - Lake Garda

• Breakfast at your hotel
• Take a boat trip on Lake Garda to Limone and across to the jewel of Lake Garda, Malcesine. Here you will have to walk to explore the harbour, the town and its Castle, as the streets are too small for vehicular traffic. Ascend the cable car to get magnificent views of the Lake from Monte Baldo and return to your hotel by coach.
• Evening meal at your hotel
• Evening concert in a nearby town Church of for bands one of the many squares in the popular toursit towns around the Lake, such as Arco or Bardolino.

DAY THIRTEEN       

• Breakfast at your hotel
• Depart by coach for Milan airport and depart for home
