Tuscany, well known for its Tuscan artists and architects, and loved for its relaxing atmosphere amongst walled towns, lines of cypress trees, rolling hills and breathtaking views.

There are so many sights not to be missed, Florence and Brunelleschi’s Dome and multicoloured Duomo, the famous Ponte Vecchio and Palazzo Vecchio, the vast picture collection housed in the Uffizi, Siena’s beautiful Campo, Pisa’s leaning tower, Lucca’s string of Romanesque churches, and the smaller, but exquisite towns of Montepulciano, Pienza and Chianciano Terme.

Umbria, often referred to as “the green heart of Italy”, is a beautiful region containing a dozen or so classic hill-towns and walled cities, each resolutely individual and crammed with artistic and architectural treasures to rival bigger and more famous cities. 

Head for Perugia and sample the Baci chocolate, Assisi to view the extraordinary frescoes by Giotti in the Basilica di San Francesco, Gubbio, ranked as the most perfect medieval centre in Italy, or relax on the shores of Lake Trasimeno.

CONCERTS, EXCURSIONS AND ACCOMMODATION

Concerts and excursions are plentiful and would suit every type of music group.  These could include, amongst many others, participation in Mass at Florence Duomo, performance in the spa gardens of Chianciano Terme, or a concert in the Main Square, or Duomo, of Pienza.  Rome is within reach for a full day excursion, as are all the main cities and sights.

Accommodation would be based in the charming spa town of Chianciano Terme. The 3* hotel boasts a rooftop pool with panoramic views.  Adults would be in twin-bedded rooms, students in multi-bedded rooms. All rooms have toilet and bath or shower.
