Page 1 of 2 Venice is the capital of the Veneto region and, as soon as you begin to explore Venice you will discover an urban landscape so rich that you can’t walk for a minute without coming across something that’s worth a stop. The centre of Venice is best explored on foot, where the Basilica of St. Mark’s can be discovered, along with the Palazzo Ducale, the Campanile and Accademia, Venice’s most prominent museum. For the periphery of Venice you will need to use public transport, the vaporetti, to gain access to the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello and beach resort of Lido di Jesolo.
CONCERTS, EXCURSIONS AND ACCOMMODATION 
This area is suitable for all kinds of music groups due to the variety of venues available. These include notable churches in Venice such as the Redentore Church and Madonna del Orto Church, along with participation in Mass at St. Mark’s Basilica. Lively squares and promenades in Lido di Jesolo and nearby coastal towns are extremely popular. Many concert venues can be combined with an excursion to make best use of your time, all of which can be reached by either coach or private waterbus from Lido di Jesolo. A half-day trip to the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello to watch lace making and glass blowing with an evening performance in central Venice, a visit to Padua to view the famous Giotti Frescoes and the Scrovegni Chapel and evening performance in Lido di Jesolo, or perhaps spend a full day in Venice with evening participation in Mass at St. Mark’s Basilica. Accommodation would be based in Lido di Jesolo in comfortable 2* or 3* hotels with twin-bedded rooms for adults, multi-bedded rooms for students. All rooms have a toilet and bath or shower.
