Our history of operating tours for UK groups meant that the majority of groups in the 1980s and 1990s enjoyed their tours successfully without a tour guide. Our philosophy is still, to this day, to provide a comprehensive itinerary based on thorough pre-planning for your tour. We do feel that it is necessary to provide a courier to certain destinations where the language barrier is a problem. These destinations are The Czech Republic, Russia, Eastern Germany, Poland, Hungary and Slovenia. We also tend to provide couriers to our Italian destinations for the same reason. However, if you have a native speaker with you in your party, then it may be possible to save some costs by dispensing with the services of a courier. In general the couriers will meet you in resort. Please note that for guided tours of most European cities it is a local law that a local approved guide conducts such excursions.
