Between Barcelona and the Costa Brava is the area of Costa del Maresme. With its wide beaches, small coves and ports, this area can satisfy the recreation and leisure needs for all visitors.   Here you will find a diverse network of museums and avant-garde construction, as well as some of the finest modernist art and Catalonian baroque.

Situated at the eastern end of Costa del Maresme is the resort of Malgrat de Mar. Originally named Vilanova de Palafolls, Malgrat is a town of considerable social and cultural tendencies. Malgrat has traditionally been a predominantly agricultural town with maritime commercial pursuits. Although part of the province of Barcelona, its history is more closely linked to Girona.

CONCERTS, EXCURSIONS AND ACCOMMODATION

As in the Costa Dorada area, Malgrat de Mar is within easy reach of many excursions, such as the city of Barcelona, Montserrat Monastery and the historic walled city of Girona. Aqualeon water-park is not far away, and for those willing to travel a little further afield, the town of Figueres, famous for its Salvador Dali Museum.

Concert venues are arranged by our very experienced local representative and can include participation in Mass at Barcelona Cathedral, a concert in the Pineda de Mar Church or Square, or a performance in one of the many bandstands, theatres and squares along the seafront.

Accommodation would be in a 3* hotel with swimming pool, situated close to the beach. All rooms have en suite facilities with adults in twin-bedded rooms and students in multi-bedded rooms.
