DAY ONE

DAY THREE

  • Breakfast at your accommodation
  • For centuries Krakow was the capital of Poland, the seat of kings, drawing great scholars and artists from the whole world. The renaissance Royal Castle at Wawel, the gothic St Mary's Basilica, the historical trade pavilions of the Cloth Hall, the former separate Jewish city of Kazimierz, and even the Nowa Huta distric are all places which make a visit to Krakow extremely worthwhile.
  • Evening concert the Church of St Judwiga, Krakow
  • Evening meal at your hotel

 

DAY FOUR

  • Breakfast at your hotel
  • Possible excursions out of Krakow could include Auschwitz concentration camp (Oswiecim -  61km from Krakow).  This concentration camp was built by the Nazi's in June 1940  or the Salt mines in Wieliczka (13km from Krakow) which have been mined for almost 1000  years. Here  you will find that miners have left behind dozens of  corridors, chambers and galleries that you can explore, of which some have been turned  into  chapels,  museums,  and with  many  different  types  of sculptures  made out of salt
  • Lunchtime participation in mass at St. Catherine's Church and
  • Evening concert at St. Catherine's Church suitable for bands, choirs or orchestras or
  • Evening meal at your accommodation

 

DAY FIVE

  • Breakfast at your accommodation
  • Other possible visit could include Zakopane which is situated at the foot of  Poland's highest mountains, the spectacular Tatras. Wildlife  thrives here in the National Park founded  in  the 1950s  and  supports rare species like lynx, golden eagles  and  brown  bear.  It is possible to take a cable car to the peaks from the hamlet of Kuznice, a 3km  bus journey south from Zakopane
  • Afternoon concert in Zakopane
  • Evening meal at your accommodation

 

DAY SIX

  • Breakfast at your accommodation
  • Depart by coach for Calais

 

DAY SEVEN

  • Morning Ferry from Calais to Dover
  • Arrive in your home town
