Krakow
Sample Itinerary

Owing to its assembly of monuments, Krakow has been listed as one of the world’s twelve most historic sites by UNESCO having survived, almost intact, throughout World War II. The city is famous for its many churches, the most well known being the Kosciol Mariacki or St Mary’s, where every morning you can hear a trumpet call.

CONCERTS, EXCURSIONS AND ACCOMMODATION

Map of Eastern Europe

Concerts venues in both Warsaw and Krakow would suit a variety of ensembles, performances being in spa centres, theatres, churches and cathedrals.

As Krakow was, up until the beginning of the 17th century, the capital of Poland, a visit to the Wawel Castle is a must, as most of the Polish kings are buried here.

The castle houses an extraordinary collection of tapestries and art. You can take a guided tour of the old Jewish quarter of Kazimierz, where many of the scenes for Schindlers List were filmed, or travel out to the ruins of Oswieciem concentration camp, better known as Auschwitz.

Visit The Royal Salt Mine at Wieliczka where, underground, there is a unique town, the floors, chandeliers and sculptures of the chapel all made from salt.

Accommodation would be in 2* and 3* hotels offering twin-bedded rooms for adults and multi-bedded rooms for students, all with en suite facilities.
