SAMPLE    I T I N E R A R Y

 

DAY ONE

  • Depart from your home town
  • Late morning ferry from Dover to Calais
  • Evening  arrival at your accommodation
  • Evening meal at your accommodation

 

DAY TWO

  • Breakfast at your accommodation
  • Depart for Bad Bertrich and spend a couple of hours in the open-air pool
  • Afternoon concert at the Kurgarten, Bad Bertrich, choirs or bands
  • Evening meal at your accommodation

 

DAY THREE  

  • Breakfast at your accommodation
  • Depart hotel for all day trip to Phantasialand for students
  • Or for students and adults
  • Depart  hotel for Rüdesheim, which claims to be the most visited  town in  the  region  and, with its crooked narrow  streets,  half-timbered  houses  and many souvenir shops, it conforms to the general conception of  what most people think a typical Rhine town should look like. A  possible visit could include the Musikkabinet.  Here you will  find one  of  the largest collections of automatic musical  instruments  in existence
  • Another  possibility would be to take the cable car to the  Niederwald Monument - this was built in the years from 1877 to 1883.  The 114 ft. high  monument  was  meant  to commemorate the Franco  German  War  of        1870-71  and the re-establishment of the German Empire
  • A  guided  tour  around the sparkling-wine factories  or  through  the Asbach-Urait brandy distillery can be arranged, if wished
  • Afternoon concert on Rüdesheim Marktplatz (Market Square) or
  • Evening concert at St. Genovof in Mendig, choirs or bands
  • Evening meal at your accommodation

 

DAY FOUR

  • Breakfast at your accommodation 
  • Arrive in Koblenz. Free  time in Koblenz which lies midway between Cologne and Mainz,  at  the  meeting point of the rivers Rhine and Moselle and the junction is marked  by  the  famous  `Deutsches Eck'  monument.   Possible  visits include  Ehrenbreitstein  Fortress  as well as shopping  at  the  Lohr Centre, Lohrstrasse and Four Towers
  • Depart for pre-booked Rhine Cruise to Boppard 
  • Afternoon concert at the Bandstand, Boppard
  • Evening meal at your accommodation

 

DAY FIVE 

  • Breakfast at your accommodation 
  • Depart by coach for Calais
  • Evening arrival in your home town
