Music Tours to Germany
- One of our original destinations and still very popular with many customers today

Rhine & Moselle Valleys :- Again another of Gower's original destinations, this area has always been an excellent area for a music tour at any time throughout the year. From cultural halls in many of the spa towns to outdoor concerts in the spa gardens or town squares when the weather is good. All are welcoming to the groups performing various types of music.
Concert venues, amongst many others, can include St. Peter’s Church in Bacharach, the Town Square in Andernach and the Kurhaus in Bad Neuenahr.
Take time off with either an excursion along the River Rhine, enjoying the scenery from one of the many steamers that cruise this river, or if the mood takes you visit one of the countless castles that dominate the skyline, followed by wine tasting at a vineyard in the Moselle Valley, or a visit to the Phantasialand Theme Park.
Accommodation would be in either 2* or 3* hotels south of Cologne and Bonn with twin-bedded rooms for adults multi-bedded rooms for students and all having en suite facilities.
Dresden and Leipzig :- This corner of eastern Germany contains what is regarded as Germany’s most beautiful city, Dresden. Virtually destroyed in bombing raids in early 1945 enormous efforts have been successfully made to rebuild it to its former glory.

Possible concerts include the beautiful Church of St. Maria by the Water, Mass at the Hofkirche Catholic Cathedral or an informal recital at Bach’s Church in Leipzig.
Cruise the River Elbe from the heart of the city towards the beautiful area known as Saxon Switzerland with its lush forests and spectacular hills or take time to visit the City of Dresden to include the Church of our Lady, the Zwinger Palace or just the night life.
To enjoy this area even further a visit to Leipzig is possible with the opportunity to visit St. Thomas Church, where JS Bach was Director of Music, the neighbouring Bach Museum, Mendelssohn House and much much more.
Accommodation would be in either 3* hotels, all with en suite facilities, or Youth Accommodation having twin-bedded rooms for adults and multi-bedded rooms for students.
Berlin :- From the foundation of the city, the nomination as the capital of Prussia until the dark chapter of the Third Reich. From the separation until the reunion, this city has seen a lot. Berlin was bombed flat during the last great war, so old buildings and monuments are limited mostly to a few survivors and some huge restoration efforts.
Potential concerts amongst others include the Lindenkirche.
Unter den Linden avenue is the throbbing spine of the city, running from the River Spree to the Brandenburg Gate. The Reichstag's rebuild is incredible and can be visited for free; the rooftop terrace provides superb views. Pieces of the Berlin Wall are still visible.

Accommodation would be in either 3* hotels, all with en suite facilities, or youth accommodation having twin-bedded rooms for adults and multi-bedded rooms for students.
The Black Forest :- In the south of Germany, covering an area of 4,000 square miles, the Black Forest is the largest and the most beautiful of all the German forests.
Within the forest is the university city of Freiburg im Breisgau, recognised as the capital of this area and home of the magnificent red sandstone Munster, a cathedral that would rival any other elsewhere in Europe.
Concert possibilities for your group could be a performance at the Kurhaus in Triberg, the Kurgarten by the lake in Titisee or participation in Mass at Freiburg Cathedral.
From Baden Baden in the north to Lake Konstanz in the south, this area is a feast of history, culture and relaxation, with excursions such as visits to waterfalls, a cable-car journey up the Schauninsland Mountain, a visit to the Zeppelin Museum or to a cuckoo-clock factory!
Accommodation would be in a 3* hotel with twin-bedded rooms for adults and multi-bedded rooms for students, all with en suite facilities.
