Music Tours to Austria and Hungary
- Salzburg and Vienna have been two of our most popular destinations. We have organised hundreds of concerts for our customers in these two famous cities since we begun our Music Tour programme in the 1980s.
- Budapest in Hungary is a truly beautiful City in which we have contacts who have a record of organising superb concert venues.

Salzburg :- Music tours to Salzburg can be based in 2* and 3* accommodation close to the City Centre. Our International groups favour these locations. There is however excellent youth accommodation to the south east of Salzburg which provides an ideal location for our youth groups. It has brilliant facilities for students including an outdoor pool.
Concerts can be organised for all types of musical groups, including bands, choirs and orchestras. There are a variety of venues. In Salzburg you can perform at the Mirabell Gardens or one of the City squares or one of the many churches. Outside Salzburg the Lake District towns of St Gilgen and Mondsee (of Sound of Music fame) are just two of many possibilities for bandstands or church venues.
Excursions abound with a visit to Mozart's Salzburg a must. The Hohensalzburg and Fortress is a great place for spectacular views across the city. Hellbrunn Palace is a fun place to visit with lots of surprises. Also the salt mines to the north east of Salzburg provide a great historical aspect to what life used to be like in Austria.
Vienna :- A city of romance, imperial nostalgia, architectural heritage and musical resonance. Home to the Lippizaner horses the Vienna Boys’ Choir and Strauss Waltzes.
Music groups are accommodated in 3* hotels in City Centre Vienna locations.
Concert possibilities could include participation in Mass at Melke Abbey, performances at the Spa Hall in Bad Tatzmannsdorf or in the gardens at the Schonbrunn Palace.
Excursions could include a guided tour of the Opera House, a possible visit to Esterhazy Palace and Haydn’s Museum and a ride on the famous Prater Ferris Wheel.
Hungary :- Budapest, sitting astride the river Danube, became a city in 1873 when the twin towns of Buda and Pest joined together. Overlooking Budapest,
from Castle Hill, at the magnificent buildings and sweeping bridges, it is no wonder that it is known as the “Pearl of the Danube”.

With its Turkish Baths, eclectic architecture and grand coffee houses, Budapest has attractions the whole year round. As the summer recedes and the autumn arrives, the cultural season starts again, with the re-awakening of the Opera House, the Franz Liszt Music Academy and the National Theatre.

Concert venues are organised by our very experienced representative in Budapest and include, amongst others Saint Matthias and St. Stephen’s Church.
Whilst in the city, visit the Spanish Riding School, take a guided tour of Heroes Square and Fisherman’s Bastion, or view the Buda Palace. If the mood takes you, head out of town on an excursion to the region of the Danube Bend and the historic attractions of Szentendre, Visegrad or Esztergom.
Accommodation will be in 3* hotels with twin-bedded rooms for adults and multi-bedded rooms for students, all having en suite facilities.
