Music Tours and Gower Tours History

The first tour was to Valkenburg in southern Holland, which is a resort that we still operate in today. Very quickly the music tour clients expanded and soon Gower was organising choir, band and orchestra tours in Northern France, Paris and down the German Rhine Valley.

During the 1990s the success of hundreds of music tours saw clients return year after year. With coach transport rapidly improving and group air travel becoming more affordable, destinations expanded into southern Europe with Spain and Italy becoming the most popular destinations. The people of The Czech Republic and Poland, rich in culture and musical history have also proved extremely welcoming to Gower music groups.

Adult music groups too also enjoyed the destinations and concert venues that Gower had to offer.

Now are services are being enjoyed by Worldwide with customers coming from New Zealand, Australia, Malaysia, South Africa and the U.S.A.

 

 

School Ski Trips

School ski holidays to Switzerland were first operated by Ski Gower in 1959, which means that we are the oldest independent school ski tour operator in the U.K. with over 50 years of experience of running school ski trips.

Over the years we have used many Swiss resorts, but we have always concentrated on places that can provide skiing for beginners above 2000m. This ensures that our clients will have guaranteed, snow sure conditions from early December right through to late April for their school ski holidays.

Elite Escapes Retail Travel Agency

In 1986 Gower Tours bought a High Street property and opened Studley Travel. Immediately successful  the venture went from strength to strength during the 1980s and 1990s. In 2006 the business was renamed to Elite Escapes and now concentrates on selling luxury holidays across the West Midlands including Cruises, African Safaris as well as Caribbean and Far Eastern holidays. However the staff have not forgotten their roots and still find plenty of time to book U.K. Coach Trips for local residents.

 

Elite Escapes Business Travel

In 1996 the sale of flights, car hire and accommodation to local businesses had became so large that the Business Travel had to split from the High Street Travel Agency and develop its own staff. This service is still highly popular with dozens of local businesses offering them a great personal service and saving them time in the booking of anything from simple to very complicated business itineraries round the World.

 

Elite Escapes Weddings and Honeymoons

When the Agency Manageress got married in 2004 she realised how poorly served the weddings and honeymoons market was by the nation's travel agencies and tour operators and determinedly set up a service to assist brides and their husbands to be. She now has a large portfolio of not just selling very special honeymoons but also providing memorable wedding ceremonies for brides and grooms across the World.
